I think I have read that pork has a lot of uric acid content. ~Hanan

Let's play Dr., Wallach, p.224: Gout is caused by uric acid crystal deposits in joints & surrounding tissues, typically big toe, may get deformed in chronic cases. Accompanied by kidney stones / disease. Treatment: avoid alcohol, organ meats [sounds different from steaks - my comment, he strongly advocates steaks & hamburgers if rare to med. done], sea food, lentiles, beans, peas, any fructose source [most fruits]. Do folic acid @ 10-75 mg / day, cherries, cherry juice, gout weed herb [Aegopodium podagraria], saffron [Colchicium autumnale]. M.D.s only use saffron & anti- inflamatories. So, how did urea get dense enough to form crystals? Check out 'Your body's many cries for water'. Most likely the guy has chronic dehydration along w about 1/3 the public, only more severe; had to be trained into it by things like rotten water, schedule troubles, etc. or believing that the 2 qts / day recommended DOES INCLUDE ANY OTHER SOURCE. Not so. Dehydration check - if urine is colored [yellow] there is water shortage; if orange, kidney disease / sludged up w trash, stones, etc. Most people substitute pop, coffee, tea, etc. & wonder why they get sick [instead of adding on - can't tell true need then].
