All of our animals (many cats/kittens and 2 dogs + various stray
raccoons, 'possums, skunks, etc.) get CS in their water all the time.
If I notice a sick animal, I'll put out 5 ppm CS instead of the 0.1
ppm they normally get.  The sick animals get well (including a raccoon
that seemed to have distemper).

I don't know if CS will have an immediate effect on canine prostate
problems, but it works on humans.

Not a very good diet, IMO, for a dog (or cat).  They're carnivores.
