I'm not sure if this is related to your Zone Alarm picking up hits or not,
but it might be...
When you surf the net, and download programs, you often get files or cookies
that send information back to wherever it was you picked them up from.
Here's a good little free-ware program that will scan your system for such

I have Zone Alarm running. Its
free so maybe some of you should install it.
Before I put it in the background on one saturday morning Itpicked up 80+
hits
in about an hourwhere people were trying to read my machine.
