Nina:
      Some of the anti-virus programs quarantine the infected file and wait
for you to give permission to delete it. You could configure you AV to
automatically delete the infection, the trouble with that being you have no
idea whch files were deleted.

Do a web search for kak-worm and you will find several sites whic give
elaborate instructions. I think both MacAfee  and Norton have clear
instructions on how to remove the virus. The worm renames a couple of system
files and masquarades as the system files. You need to delete the pretenders
and rename the dethroned system files back to their original names and
functionality. Off hand I don't remember the files involved but there are a
lot of websites which give detailed instructions.
