I'll ask anyone again. Didn't get any response the first time
around.
Frank or anyone,
Can you tell me what is meant by the "Aqueous dispersion of
colloidal metallic gold was prepared by a modification of the
citrate reduction method of Frens." as mentioned in the colloidal
gold/IQ thread discussed a week or so ago regarding this URL?
http://www.belmarpharmacy.com/library/reference3.html
Did you also get the impression they were putting 3 - 10mg tablets
into water in order to make what they called an aqueous dispersion.
"Aqueous dispersion of colloidal metallic gold was prepared by a
modification of the citrate reduction method of Frens. The
concentration of gold in this preparation (Aurasol ) was 30 mg per
ounce of fluid."

Subject: Re: CS>Colloidal gold
Doing some checking on the product called Aurasol which calls itself
colloidal
gold turns up some very strange information.
This product is sold in tablet form. 30 tablets to a bottle. Each
tablet
contains 10 mg of gold. Price $40.
The manufacturer is Biomicrotek(?) of Torrance CA.
If the gold was once in a colloid form, it is no longer a colloid
when reduced
to a tablet. It would seem the producer does not know the definition
of a
colloid.
