Yeah this is what makes the difference between good colloid and bad i think.
I was using mineral water for some time and the max i could leave it brewing
for was 5 mins. It virtually went cloudy immediatly from the salts in the
water. I was mistaking the cloudyness for the silver particles, when it is
far from it. When you use distilled water there is no gunk buildup on the
electrodes, and you are able to leave it for a longer time to get a stronger
sollution, and there appears to be no aglomerate.. With the addition of the
water bubbler you can leave it to brew even longer and still maintain a
clear sollution. I was going to build a fancy cs maker but with distilled
water i dont think it is necessary. I leave mine for a hour with out the
bubbler at which time it is just turning a slight amber colour.

I bought a bubbler for use in colloid making, but the air that comes from it
is tainted, and unfortunatly the water gets tainted from it as well. Does
anyone know how to get rid of this taint.

fine. The conductivity should be 0.05 uS/cm right out of the tap.
