Not sure.  Malaria is caused by Plasmodium protozoa (single-celled
parasites) -- P.falciparum, P.vivax, P.ovale and P.malariae.  I would hazard
a guess that protozoa will be killed by CS, and a quick check of various web
sites tends to support that.  The title of this page
http://www.commercemarketplace.com/home/Silvertec/test.html indicates that
it cures malaria.

Being a virus I would be surprised if it would not prevent and cure it,
provided that it could be brought under control quickly enough.

These are all listed in the typical list of 650 uses or in other lists of
illnesses that respond to CS.

All tests I am aware of have shown it to be 100% effective against all
viruses it has been tested against.  The best evidence is to use it and
determine its effectiveness.  If it works great, if it doesn't, then it is
not toxic.

It is definitely more than a US based phenomenon.  I have heard a number of
stories of its use in Africa and Australia.
