The collapse was consistant with the heating ,over a period of time, the supporting structural steel, weakening them at near critical temperature and the overloading of lower floors when the top ones collapsed. I'll bet even the terrorists were suprised..but explosives aren't required for that effect. Just a lot of jet fuel. The very old buildings are likely supported by concrete pillers rather than a steel super structure and are not so susceptible to heat damage. Ken
