The archives are tough to use now because they're so large.
Newbies have a tough enough time knowing what questions to ask because this is
so new to them. They get stuck in the archives for days!
I've seen over and over certain members gruffly tell newbies to search the
archives for a post on that question, as the member has already answered it
1,2,6, months ago.
Whyinhell doesn't he just repeat it if he knows the answer? Or better, just
don't bother to answer at all and let someone with a kinder disposition take the
cue?
Your response below is a more sensible approach also.
BTW, has anybody looked at Mike's welome to the list letter that gets sent to
new subscribers lately? It used to be a pretty good FAQ in itself.
