In response to Jan Carew's query in list #875 regarding adding H2O2 to CS
solution. Can't comment about breaking up large "particles" (presumably
agglomerates of small particles), but a CS guru here in Oz told me on authority
that the main thing about CS was that adding it to H2O2 in solution acted to
liberate the O2 part. In other words, CS is an excellent catalyst for speeding
up the decomposition of hydrogen peroxide into water and oxygen. So fast that
to oxygenate the colon, you first take one, then the other (don't know which
order is best). Apparently mixing them together prior to swigging down results
in most of the liberated O2 burping out from the stomach and thus being lost.
One could also tentatively suggest that the reports of H2O2 clearing up
coloured CS solution initially but subsequently leaving a precipitate is also
linked to the O2 slowly leaking out of solution. Tried H2O2 years ago, but it
is so vile I shudder when recollecting the unforgettable taste!
On another matter that seems to continue to rage among some list members - salt
or no salt. One vendor who shall remain unnamed has kindly provided one
sensible solution - try BAKING SODA, OK!!
