A letter, phone call or fax have more impact than email. A phone call can be made in 60 seconds. ---- Leave it to the bureaucrats to dream up one more government agency to waste our tax dollars. We already have a "National ID" in the form of a USA passport. We do not need more intrusion in our lives. Contact your congressional representatives and suggest a simple new law requiring every USA citizen to apply for a passport. The other side of the coin is to require all foreigners to get a "foreign national ID card" and do complete FBI background checks on these people since the terrorists are usually foreigners and not USA citizens. The USA passport agency and FBI already exist and the procedures already exist. We just need to have everyone get a USA passport or a "foreign national ID card". We do NOT need a new "cabinet-level agency", just more people with USA passports and "foreign national ID cards" issued after FBI background checks. --- BUSH CONTEMPLATES NATIONAL ID CARD FOR ALL CITIZENS **Exclusive** A highly controversial option has emerged for use in fighting terrorism in the United States: A national ID card which would be issued to every citizen.
