Not at first, you could work your way up to it (130oz, or 16 glasses a day) or close to it anyway. But for every soda, coffee or tea you drink you get to drink an additional glass of water, according to the book by Dr. Batmangeligj. It seems to me that the object is to drink clean water, as often as you can muster, and leave out all the toxic stuff. My daughter-in-law did it, lost a lot of weight, and then promptly got pregnant, which was really great the way it worked out. She feels a whole lot better too. (I am planning on giving this water cure a try myself, leaving out the getting pregnant part. Worked myself up to a quart a day so far and no extra trips to the "necessary room" as yet.)
