Thanks Josephine. I've even gotten off my BP meds -- the doctor, of course,
was treating the symptom of dehydration and never asked a single question --
did the pinch test and ignored the fact that the skin stayed up!

  If your skin stays pinched, it means that you are dehydrated.
  Same with a dog, if the skin on the back of his neck stays up after you
have released it,
  the dog is dehydrated.
  All it means is that your body needs lots of water.
  Many folks don't drink the amount of water they are supposed to drink per
day anyway.

    Could someone knowledgeable explain how to do the back-of-the hand skin
    pinch and what the "timing" is? Before I began drinking enough water,
the
    skin on the back of my hand stayed pinched! Now it returns to normal
almost
