Terry, When I purchased my spectrophotometer I also had to buy a standard AgNO3 that had 1000 ug/ml in 5% HNO3, or 1000ppm.
That was diluted to 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, and 60 ug/ml of ppm's to calibate the tester. The test is the industry standard to measure the amount of silver in the waste water of silver plating systems. So what we are actually talking about is the weight of silver in the solution in micrograms per milliliter. As for maximum ppm of pure ions, I have no idea.
