Julie, for what its worth, try warming the water in small saucepan til a
little warmer than baby bottle temp (water is in pint jar).  Now you only
need to cook the water for 10 min. for 2 sessions, cleaning wires between
sessions.  I have made very adequate CS for 2 years this way, and helped
myself, family & friends  with loads of health problems.
Being a Maltese breeder I relate to your love of animals.  I even saved a
young puppy from the brink of death last year after a moron vet gave him a
rabies shot at the age of 10 weeks .  I know I would have lost him if not
for CS.
Keep making that CS, its the closest thing to a miracle in a bottle that has
ever come down the pike.
