CSFriends, Garbage like what NPR broadcast makes me so mad I could spit! I highly suggest we do not take this lying down. I am reminded about how it was that in '89 I had a home in a poor county in western New York, where the state wanted to put all of its 'low level' nuclear waste. Our concerned citizens defeated that suggestion handily, and helped make sure no state could ever do something like this to its citizens, but in the meantime we found out that there was a hard core of criminal minded tricksters at the center of the nuclear industry's devious efforts, folks even the corporate heads didn't know about. It seems the bosses preferred believing their own lies.
I would imagine this kind of a dirty tricks team (remember Nixon's?) is also heading up the drug companys' mis-information efforts; a small hard core of the unscrupulous, who have some mandate to 'do what it takes,' tactics unquestioned. I have no doubt that the media who would like to print something reliable and unbiased are being bullied and harassed. Can I suggest that we ally ourselves with other groups? Perhaps environmentalists, anti-nukers or somebody who can help us fight this battle? Perhaps it's a stretch, but please forgive me while I think out loud. But we desperately need to reorder our minds into a collective brain, then engage our hearts to ACTION.
