I cannot tell you how many ppm it will take to work for you, all I know is that I have been using 3 to 5 ppm for years and this has worked for me. Also when I started researching CS I found an article that said a Dr. Crook who done research for the University of Illinois ( not sure if that is the correct spelling) he said that he could not find a pathogen that would survive more then six minutes in a solution of CS. I leave it up to each individual to decide if this is true or not. Blessings Ted
