Marketing hype.  Same reason that they use to brag on how much horsepower a car
has, or now how much energy a vacuum cleaner uses (as if being inefficient and
using more power is somehow better).

5 to 10 ppm is I believe optimum for internal use.  Higher ppms may be useful
for topical use where absorption is not important.
