The link was to a copper/silver chunk of metal...way over priced. I stopped into s pool supply place and asked...they never heard of such a device. Way back in the 80's [long before internet sites]there was an outfit that sold a solar float pool ionizer for about $300 about the size of a frizbee. I believe they used copper ions. It appears that algae doesn't like copper ions one little bit. ken
