Over the years, water filter systems have been discussed many times on this list. Usually, someone invariably mentions how great the Berkey Water Filter System has been over many years. The Berkey System is a quality system but it's also a little pricey.
Since I have received many good ideas from this list over time, mainly as a lurker, I thought I would share an alternative to the Berkey System with everyone: http://www.hypertech-usa.com/ I don't remember anyone mentioning this product before. I have no connection whatsoever with this site, financial or otherwise. A friend of mine shared this site with me and was so impressed that she ordered one. I'm thinking about ordering one for myself as an emergency water backup. I always have 25,000 gallons of water just sitting in my backyard pool and a quality filter system would make the water available in an emergency. Anyone know anything about this filtering system?
