Could be. Unfortunately I am not very knowledgeable about ringworm other than
knowing that it is a type of fungus.
I don't know where I am getting the stuff, but I get about 1 infection
per year.
It seems to be related to hot weather, sweating, and working in the garden.
The usual amount of 3 to 6 ounces per day does not seem to kill it. When I
take 16 ounces twice a day for about 2 days, the infection stops itching
and then the red spots and circles begin to disappear.
I also use it applied externally to stop the itching until it is
completely cleared up. This last time, I mixed some DMSO and AloeVera
with it but could not tell that made much difference.
The next time it happens, I hope to grow a culture and actually see this
critter and identify it.
