Coyote, thanks for the comments:
One was study [on an EPA link I think] that showed that oral and even
inhaled silver 'dust' was 98% to 99% eliminated in 48 hours in rats and
mice and that monkeys excreted 94% within 48 hours. [Phalen&Morrow, 1973]
Yes, I haven't referenced that particular study because it CAN be easy to
see how a dust would be easily eliminated from the system, as long as it
wasn't a complex crystal. The lungs are designed to do so.
To date, I have yet to see an accumulation 'rate' table [by anyone] over
a
set period of time that would indicate a maximum safe daily doseage [of
silver metal, ionic or not, regardless of amount of water] however
ridiculous an amount that would be.
Right, there is no such table. I don't claim the EPA standards are
definitive, or even that I agree that they truly reflect a critical dose of
colloidal silver. It might be only 1% of that when CS is used orally... or
even less. However, through extensive CS lung use, I have documented side
effects over the last year and a half that are consistant with silver
toxicity. Symptoms normally subside within twelve hours of cessation.
Symptoms are temporary. Through my limited study, not scientific in the
least, it IS evident that "our" colloidal silver is eliminated very rapidly.
The symptoms I've seen are nuerological and pulmonary. They are really of
no vital concern. A rash can be induced as well, usually within 36 hours of
concentrated use. The rash, consistant with the precepts of natural
medicine, could be indicative of a saturated level of colloidal silver in
the body( similiar to what people experience with large doses of vitamin C
).
I have reason to believe that when one reaches this "critical dose" in the
body, that the colloidal silver may just reach areas ( such as, perhaps,
nerve ganlia? ) that it would not otherwise reach. Keep in mind that there
IS a difference between a herx reaction and a toxic reaction, although the
two are closely linked!
I have the EPA studies online because it is of public interest. The
interested party can judge for themselves. I often receive emails from
"fearful" yet curious people. Following the EPA guidelines is a great way
to break through the fear people have - and the fear their loved ones may
have as well.
...then take into consideration how much water that dose would involve at
some set PPM.
Considering the elimination rates, a statement such as 3 grams of silver
is harmless or harmful is completely worthless. It just says that one
shouldn't eat their electrodes in one sitting and not much else.
To say that the minimum dose to get argyria is 2.8 grams silver [or
whatever] says nothing about what it takes to reach that dose. Is that
silver retained over a period of time including 94% elimination per 2 days
...or is it a bullet? [use of language questions from reading an 'official
report', stated figures pulled from hat]
Yes, your point is well taken. In fact, at one time I was going to build a
few theoretical models addressing just these ideas.
Keep in mind also, that ( unfortunately ) there are quite a few visitors to
the website who use compounds/proteins. They are seldom properly educated
on what they use.
"An independent researcher analyzed silver elimination vs. silver consumed,
over a period of several months consuming roughly 2.34 mg of colloidal
silver daily. His results clearly demonstrated that even larger
amounts of
colloidal silver used internally are WELL handled by the body's
elimination
system. This study will also be added to the database section of the
website, pending the author's approval. "
The study is Roger Altman's study - it is now on the website under its own
section. I forgot to modify the phrase above! *makes a note*
Both independent studies and professional reports are rife with deficient
data [no time frame mentioned etc and so on, or doses out of context, with
no context put forth] and confusing/incomplete use of terms.
It is important to be extremely specific in definitions and terms if the
'apples and oranges' syndrome is not to overtake these efforts like they
have the 'official' anti efforts.
Too true. Keep in mind, that this website is not about my personal opinion.
In fact, I believe there is not ONE study that has been done that is not
flawed. I don't even think researchers are addressing the right questions.
But if the data is useful, then it deserves inclusion.
