When I use 4-9v batteries with rods 1-1/2" apart, I immediately get rust coloured cloudy material coming off the negative wire and rising to the surface. When I go to 3 batteries, it stops, and I see no cloud at all, not even a milky white. I use distilled water with a starter batch of CS in it. So what is the rust coloured material.
