Hello Langley,
Regarding CMO, a simple formula can be constructed (general in
nature) based upon a descending scale from 1200 mg for a 180 lb. human being
(e.g. 1200mg : 180 lbs :: X : Dogs wt. in lbs). The minimum dosage considered
should be one 250 mg capsule. CMO is non-toxic......just expensive to isolate
from other fractions because of the bulk considerations of the the raw material
involved.
We have found that it is much less expensive to obtain the pure CMO powder (or
solidified wax....if you have the means to powder it---our lab folks even used a
nutmeg grater in the old days----quite satisfactorily I might add.) Vincent
Gammill (look up his email in the archives if interested) was a great help to us
several years ago. He was involved in a lot of the early seminal
research....and, in fact, manufactured/extracted CMO fractions years before the
majority of the MLM sellers and hucksters ever heard of its existence. Vincent
is a cancer-treatment researcher....and I do not know how deeply involved he has
remained in CMO research----however, he is a genuinely-gifted research chemist
with impeccable academic credentials......and I am not EASILY impressed. If you
contact Vincent, I suggest you explain your interest in developing animal-based
protocols and explore the possibility of obtaining larger amounts of CMO. The
product we received from him proved to be superior to all others (in our
researches). I do not know if he still isolates the material for sale.....as he
never was in the retail sales business. We have no connection, whatsoever, with
Vincent's endeavors and do not promote the procurement of any product or
professional service----from him, or anyone else. In any event his counsel on
this matter will be...in my opinion....invaluable to your researches.
Regarding Glucosamine (GA)/Chondroitin (CS), I suggest the
following for your experimental animal researches: 5 to 15 lbs---500 mg GA and
300 mg CS daily; 15 to 25 lbs.----750 mg GA and 400 CS daily; 25 to 35
lbs----1000 mg GA dnd 750 mg CS daily;
45 lbs tto 60 lbs.----1200 mg GA and 1000 mg CS daily; 60 lbs to 100+
lbs----2000 mg GA and 1200 mg CS daily. For the alfalfa......2 tablets twice
daily for the smallest dogs (5 to 10 lbs); for intermediate sizes ( 15 to 30
lbs), 4 tablets twice daily; for all dogs over 35 lbs. 12 tablets daily. It
is suggested one use powdered/granulated alfalfa....obtainable from local feed
stores for a fraction of the price of compressed tablets (e.g. 50 lb. bag @
$12.00 ...enough to supplement every dog in your neighborhood for a year). Some
small dogs are finicky about a teaspoon of alfalfa sprinkled on top of their
food...especially in the beginning. Mixing the granules with some form of
liquid taste-enhancer and/or with beef/chicken broth stock.....then mixing with
the balance of their food-stuffs works well. Use as much kelp
powder/granules---within reason---- as the animal will readily tolerate (e.g. 1
heaping teaspoon for all dogs over 15 pounds and 1/2 teaspoon for smaller
dogs). Use it every time you feed the animal. Kelp has proven to be the MOST
important dietary supplement we have ever evaluated.
I must go now, but I hope these comments are of
value to you.
Sincerely, Brooks
Bradley.
