Sylvie,
The acid in your body often makes it  make green apear on your skin. A gold
ring will on many people, me incl.,   on your finger turn green. You won't
be able to see it in the hole in your ear.  If you coat it good with  the
hardening kind of nail polish as I recomened it shouldn't turn Gold green
next to your skin.
 I don't wear anything with Yellow Gold.  The white Gold won't do this as
some jewelry is made of.
