Even if it works it will be expensive. James-Osbourne: Holmes -----Original Message----- From: Heather King (LCA) [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Monday, August 05, 2002 11:54 AM To: [email protected]; [email protected] Subject: RE: CS>West Nile Virus - Speaking of mosquitoes....
*warning.hearsay & speculation* Not that this is very practical, but I was told by someone recently that mosquitoes are initially attracted to the carbon dioxide that we all exhale. Some people apparently exhale more than others.they went on to tell me that a sure-fire method to send the little biters somewhere else would be to put a bucket of dry ice in a corner away from the humans since supposedly it produces carbon dioxide as it evaporates. They're supposed to freeze & fall dead into the bucket. I have no proof that this is real, not having tried it myself yet. Okay, b-3, so far, and garlic, and permethrin. I'll try them all, and keep those suggestions coming, please! Thanks for the input so far. Any advice for the Raccoons? Linda
