Marshall,

Just thought I would pass on something I think may be helpful. I have purchased several nebulizers, one for me and several for friends at a local pharmacy near a hospital. I purchased second hand nebulizers that had been used at the hospital. I accidently found out that they did this. I have found two different pharmacies that do this and there may be more. Of course, they do not always have them on hand since they depend of the hospitals to get rid of theirs but I have been able to find enough to satisfy me and my friends. I asked why the hospital would get rid of them since they still worked well and was told that the hospital periodically updates their equipment. No wonder hospital costs are so high! All I have bought have worked fine. The cost varies but is usually about $25-$35 with an extra $5-$10 to get a new inhaler and tubing. The total cost has been under $50 (much less than the RX I had to use before finding this source) I put CS in the cup and inhale about 5 minutes whenever I have a "heavyness" in my chest. So far, it has consistently worked for me.

My friend had been a heavy smoker and probaby has damage on his lungs. what would be the best way to get CS to the lungs not having a nebulizer Of course he was a heavy smoker. I do not want him to use a nebulizer since some of the nicotine could break off and kill him.

Is nicotine not water soluble? If so I see no way it could build up. Then I am wondering, what IS nicotine stains on the teeth?

If he sprays cs into each nostril and in his throat, will that be of help?

Using a nebulizer or an ultrasonic humidifier are the only ways I know.
