any thing stamped .999, by a legitament foundry, is anything from .9990 to .9991, to .9992, all the way to .9998. it cannot claim . 9999...... what is the worry??? it is so dar_, da-- pure. just don't use "coin silver" which is . 9200 pure, and has nickel, copper, and other metals in it for strength.
