What was it that made it junk?
Granted that some impurities could mess things up...but others don't seem to.
It's probable that one water at 5 Us will have different impurities than
another at 5 Us, so one will do just fine while the other may not.
 I've been using the local Food Loin Brand for years and find it hard to
make a bad batch even up to 50+ PPM.
...another brand with a 4.5 metering???  Who knows?
