Yes Rod,
The CS combines with something in the Aloe to form a light sensitive
salt, it will go dark over time.
Thanks for sharing your experiments with xanthum gum, I will mix some
up when I get the chance and test it for the presence of silver ions
to see whether the silver remains free.
