Hi Marshall, This is my first post to the group, and I'm also new to the home-made colloidal silver world. I've been reading the archives, and current posts...boy, you guys are truly a wealth of information! I received my machine (a Hulda Clark model) this week, and so far have been quite dissatisfied with the batches I've made. I called a company (Silvergen, I believe, Dr. Clark's company was not reachable) and found out that the reason for the black/gray roots on the electrodes was that the water was oxidized. I then checked my distilled water, and sure enough it stated that it was ozoneated. This IS Walgreen's brand. Do they have 2 types? TIA, Jannette
