I am wondering if any of you are needing a lot of extra brewing time
because of the activity of the sun. Mine has been going for 26 1/2 hours and
the auto shut off is still not activated.

Hi Mary Lee, Have you considered the possibility
of a Radon gas leak, you could blame that. :-) But seriously,
the only thing that I would do is contact the maker
or retail seller and discuss a warranty replacement.
You haven't given any info on the set up you are using.
It is nearly impossible to guess why with nothing to
go on. But, really -- sun spots? I think the problem
  is closer to home.
