Many people take the double blind study to the extreme. They claim that they do not accept anything that has not had a double blind study done on it, but the fact is that 99.9% of what they accept as fact has never had a double blind study done on it.
For instance, have double blind studies been done to determine if a person doesn't eat they die, or if they don't breathe they will die, or if they go out in the sun, they will get sun burn. Of course not, when one gains sufficient experience double blind studies are no longer necessary. From what I understand even aspirin has never had a double blind study done on it.
