Yes, lithium can build up in the body after years, and it can produce unwanted psychosis and become toxic to the body. My friend's speech was slurring and her doc put her in the mental ward and slowly wean her off of it. She didn't have any side effects coming off, but apparently he was afraid that if she was truly bi-polar she might become manic and experience some pychosic of some sort so the hospital stay was the best place at the time. Apparently the bi-polar diagnoses wasn't accurate, as she never did have an episode after coming off the medication and is medication free today.

Does any one know if lithium builds up in the body and if so how would one detox from it? Thanks, Roger -- The silver-list is a moderated forum for discussion of colloidal silver.
