/////There are new drugs now for the manic phase of bi-polar, much better than lithium, if lithium is giving a problem. I refused the Depokote because of the toxic side effects to platelets and liver function. I am being maintained on topamax which I have never felt better. It's for seizures and not yet approved yet for bi-polar disorder by fda by pdocs are prescribing it and so far for me, it's been the best.
