Spray anywhere on anything. CS/MSM is amazing on burns. Keep it cool. It is not stable at temperature approaching 100 F. I don't know how to make it. You can buy it at health food stores at inflated prices or go to the local large animal supplies store and buy it for about $5 US per pound. It tastes as bad as cat piss smells.
