Brickey, I received my solar panel a few days ago, I made a batch of CS, just run the panel to the 9999 wire, the panel was setting inside where the sun didn't shine, I got a reading of 16.4 on the hanna with a light gold color CS, Sorry I don't know how long it run. You only need one panel and it can be used on a cloudy day I do know that I put the solar panel under a 100 watt light bulb and it works, So forget the statement of it being in the shadow. S & J Young writes:
Yes. Just make sure they are all illuminated. If one of them is in shadow,
you will get no output.
--Steve Y. By the way, your panels are way overkill, and you still should
use a current limiting device. Production of CS only takes 1 ma x a few
volts = just a few milliwatts. You can use your panels to charge 9 volt
nicads so you can make CS at night as well!

Subject: CS>CS Generation with Solar Panels

Just got my 12 VDC 1.5 watt Solar Panels from Harbor Freight. Could I
connect 3 panels in series to produce 36 VDC? This would be a way to
generate CS if the power was out or out camping.
Brickey

Sincerely Yours, Hank.
