Hi all,

Some of you may remember that we've been fighting my dd's recurrent bladder infections off and on for a while now. Previously there was discussion of all the procedures that the "allopathic" Docs wanted to do. Since the CS hasn't been working for her to keep the infections at bay we've decided to go along with the Allopathic tests... She's already had the ultrasound. Doc suspects reflux and claims he can see some limited kidney damage. Next up is the VCUG. I remember there was discussion of the particular drug recommended for sedation for this procedure being somewhat dangerous. I am trying to decide whether to give it to her. Does anyone remember what drug it was? They are proposing to give her something called verised. I made the nurse spell it so I could look it up. When I try to search pub med I get nothing, so something is off. Can anyone help me with the correct spelling? Or info on this drug? Or tips to make the whole catheterization process easier??? I hate to do this but we feel quite backed into a corner. We've exhausted all our other options.
Thanks in advance!
