Yes, I suppose it's easier but it is more expensive and you get the fillers and lubricants like you get with any tablet. The pure crystals do not give you this. We use the tablets too because my son won't take the powder. I might point out that I get an energy boost from the crystals, usually within 15 minutes - I do not get this from the tablets. I've tried different brands.
