CS>CS for pools

Hi there, anybody know about CS for pools ?  I was Wondering if a little 
electricity in the water [ done ever so carefully, of course] would kill 
algae.  Being a chlorine hater, we always have a fine line between very 
minimum  chlorine and a green pool.  h202 seems way too pricey for a 20k 
gallon pool.  Any suggestions, it's a long hot summer here in Texas !  LC
