Hi, I'm a newbie on this list. I eat about 8 whole garlic bulbs a week,
and it is very antiinflammatory, its a cleansing/healing/antibacterial
agent. As is also DMSO - though not approved for human consumption, I
used it with my severe arthritis with great results for years prior to
MSM becomming easily available - MSM is based on DMSO, has same effect.
The worst thing about DMSO, like garlic, is the smell, which is
intensified in DMSO. But its not a poison. Garlic is acidic, if you
cut/chop the cloves with bare hands, spend more than about twenty
minutes doing it, the acid can eat right through your skin. That may be
why it was used on bullets. Painful, and would worsen/extend the damage
done by the bullet. But taken orally with food, particularly with
oil-based food or other vitamins, there is no danger whatsoever. Sara

Well, guess what---spelling sometime counts:
"...The reason garlic is so toxic, the sulphone hydroxyl ion
penetrates the blood-brain barrier, just like DMSO,
and is a specific poison for higher-life forms and brain cells."

What does DMSO do to the brain. I have a horse on IV DMSO and have had
to breath it, I cover my nose and mouth with a towel now . Is anything
antidotal? The vet said it is not a carrier per se, said that was
disproven?? Deb
