I've been using CS for treating my dogs ears when they occasionally have irritation and itchiness, and it has always worked extremely well, usually I only need one, or at the most, two doses (one eyedropper per dose).
A few days ago one of my dogs started up with an itchy ear and I was out of the CS I usually use, so made a quick trip to a local HFS to pick up some for immediate treatment. When I got home, I discovered it was a deep brownish gold color and was supposed to be 500 ppm... I diluted it down with distilled water to 10 ppm, and have been using it for the past several days, without any apparent improvement in his ear. I've re-read the label to see if I'm missing something... the brand is Innovative Natural Products, it says it has a micron particle size of 0.004 to 0.107, and the label says "charged with Vital Kinetic Life" (a registered trademark), but the ingredients don't say it has anything other than collodial silver in it. The CS I've used before this has never looked brown or gold... even diluted down to 10 p.m. it still has a honey gold color. Is there something wrong with this brand of CS, I'm wondering because it doesn't seem to be helping, and because of the unusual color, or is that normal in some circumstances? I appreciate any help & insight you might have to offer. Thanks, Denise -- The silver-list is a moderated forum for discussion of colloidal silver.
