  Andy,

Y'all got me wrong. I'm just trying to get the right numbers for the
different methods. This is not easy.

I wasn't criticizing Trem's generator when I said "get rid of the
sharp edges". I was comparing the performance of my previous 425ml
  generator to the current Godzilla.

My previous generator had 4 straight rods for one electrode and one
"W" shaped electrode for the other.

This generator would make cs that started turning pale yellow after
a week at 22 ppm calculated, and wouldn't even make to to 28 ppmc
without the solution turning yellow before the end of the run.

Godzilla uses flat spirals with a minimum bend radius of about 1
inch on the risers. Those are the sharpest points anywhere on the
electrode. The rest is a gradual spiral.

Godzilla makes it to 31 ppmc before the cs starts turning color
  after a week or so.

I realize the actual ppm is less than the calculated value due to
oxide deposits on the anode and gray fuzz on the cathode. But
nevertheless, this is a significant improvement, and the cs is
  stronger.

One of the most important things in a cs generator is a constant
current source that becomes active at the beginning of the run. This
requires high compliance (ie high voltage). I posted a simple
circuit earlier that meets this requirement.

I am working on a method of measuring the ppm while the cs is being
made. This will indicate the point when oxide starts forming, and
show the ionic vs non-ionic values at the end of the run. After
correction for the Nernst diffusion layer, this should give accurate
values for both components in the cs.

The parts are not expensive. Analog Devices gives free samples that
are sufficient to make two units. After that, the parts cost is
perhaps US$25. It needs a dedicated pc, but this could be an old
unit someone is throwing out. It doesn't have to have a 3GHz cpu -
10MHz would be more than enough.

Then I will try every electrode combination possible, with and
without stirring, and post the results to my web site.

I don't care which one wins. All I want is the highest ppm possible.

H2O2 and high ionic cs is the only thing I have found that kills
mold spores. But it doesn't kill all the different types. I'm hoping
stronger cs will do the job.

Best Regards,

Mike Monett
