Hi Tel, A fish bubblier adds more nitrogen to the DW, and that is why I have always objected to its use! Mechanical stirring is far better.
The way that Stephen Quinto solves the NO3 problem is to distill, transport, and make CS under an Argon blanket. We could vacuum out gas standard DW and then transport and brew under Argon, but it is a lot of trouble. In my testing of CS for people I generally find about 1 ppm in most LVDC CS. Any HVAC system makes higher levels of NO3. I have tried them all !! I believe that Marshall is correct in his analysis of the subject. For what little we use the probability of getting argyria is not worth considering. "Ole Bob" -- The silver-list is a moderated forum for discussion of colloidal silver.
