I urge you to read the following correspondence and to pass on the
message to any and all concerned. My own experience with the company
concerned leads me to believe that these are reputable, caring, and
courageous providers of CAM products for cancer sufferers.
You may draw your own conclusions; I find the alleged threats about
not answering questions ominous, and pertinent to those of us on this
list who discuss anecdotal cancer therapies. The facts expressed in
this message make clear that even on a private list group it may be
good to exercise caution or be prepared to fight the suppression of
alternatives.
The altcancer.com web site still operates last I checked, perhaps
because it is set up in the Bahamas. I am not sure. Given that the
people in this company evidently know well about suppression of medical
alternatives, I must say that I am surprised they used a US-based
fulfillment center, and that they were present in the USA to be
arrested.
James Carr, their chief herbalist, has been a correspondent for
several years, and I am shocked that this man is in jail.

A problem: your site shows nothing about the lack of products,
probably leading customers to place orders for products you can not
send. I find NOTHING on your site about the FDA action!
Jonathan - this is because this just happened to us...our herbalist is
in jail as well as the person who designs and updates our web site.
We are currently trying to find someone to come in and help us up date
the web page.
This is a big communication failure. I found out only because a friend
was unable to fill an order for his sick wife. Had he not informed me,
I would not have known.
WE ARE TRYING AS HARD AS WE CAN TO TELL EVERYONE....THE FDA HAS TAKEN
ALL OF OUR FILES AND COMPUTERS! They have taken almost all of our
products.
You should contact everyone who has ever ordered from you if you want
the customer support you deserve to have. Let us know how things are
proceeding and what we can do.
We are doing just this! Everyone who orders is getting an emailed
letter and/or a phone call. We have no files or products...we've had
to buy a new computer just to get word out to the customers. There
are only 2 of us here now instead of 15...we are working as fast as we
can to get the word out to everyone...we also have NO FUNDS...we are
practically pennyless...it is hard to keep a company going with no
money when you have the Federal Government to fight and the
owners/herbalist/web designers all in jail.
Keep on fighting the good fight. Many of us are behind you
unequivocally. You say you can not answer questions: If there is some
kind of court gag order, we need to know that, as it would be an
unconstitutional suppression of free speech deserving of condemnation
and widespread dissemination via the Internet by your supporters.
We will be up dating the web site as soon as possible...in regards to
the questions...the FDA agents told us that if we answered any
questions, we were conducting criminal activity and would be arrested.
