Trem, Yes, wall thickness at the base of the candle is about 4mm. thicker than at the top. But we have a lot of thickness to begin with, averaging 2.5 cms. As it turns out the void on the inside of the cylinder is tapered, a requirement for the inner, stainless steel spindle used in the forming process. This taper helps facilitate easy release. So the lower end of the candle corresponds with the upper end of the spindle, where diameter is 8mms. less. Reid
