Hi most noble EIS'ers, I hate to be a spoil sport but there is no such thing as "run-away" current with a constant voltage genertor !!!
Go to my web site and look at the link HVDC CS. That is a 330 v DC constant voltage data plot. I have more of then for the doubting Thomases!!! You completely over look the disasterous effect of agglomeration that can take place in the process. You will note that the current rises to a max and then regresses to about 1/3 of max.
