Where does the charge on the Ions go?

I realize I seem to be at odds with the majority or at least some. But I'm
sure over time light with dissipate the charge on the silver ion (particle)
and cause the silver particles to fall out of solution. As for the plastic
perhaps the one they referred to is OK, the one they use for distilled water
but I would surly stay away from any other plastic. As for light just tape
a paper bag over your container to keep the light out, that would do the
job.

Geez I feel like I'm getting bogged down in detail. You are commended for
using CS and I'm sure if your using reasonably fresh CS you'll be just fine.

Jack

To answer your question more specifically. Light is energy, photons of
energy strike the CS solution causing some of the charge on the silver ions
to dissipate. When a silver particle loses it's charge it will no longer
stay in suspension in the water and will fall out.
