Of course, one cannot legally sell nor use DMSO medicinally in US of A; with the exception of Injectable DMSO for Interstitial Cystitis! That said, almost every athletic trainer uses it on sprains, bruises & sports injuries, and the athlete usually can return to the contest.
It is usually purchased at 99.9% and in order to apply to sensitive skin, must be diluted with distilled water to about 70% to avoid blistering--must be applied to Clean Skin. There is no need to rub it in, as DMSO penetrates skin and will take anything dissolved in it through the skin to the point of pain--rapidly; so that if you apply to foot, within a minute, you can taste it! Amazing! DMSO is illegal because of one doctor in the FDA and his stupidity! For a fascinating read, get Pat McGrady's book: "DMSO, The Persecuted Drug". Like CS, DMSO is truly a Gift from God with harmless but effective uses. Thanks in advance! Years ago I applied 80% DMSO to my wife's back because of her back pain. She blistered up with multiple "water" blisters. They were gone in 20 min. with no after effects. She was very fair skinned. Maybe that's why the reaction. Don't remember whether the second application produced the same reaction. -- The silver-list is a moderated forum for discussion of colloidal silver.
