Whoa -- the DMSO isn't what you want to kill a virus, that's a job for CS ! I don't know where you read about that use for DMSO, but that isn't it's purpose. If there are surface manifestations, then you only need to apply CS -- maybe wetting a pad with CS to keep the CS moist. When the surface has cleared, then you can consider a CS / DMSO mix, and since all that you want to do is get the CS in contact with the virus, a 10% DMSO mix should do the job IMHO. Remember that when symptoms of a virus have disappeared, that doesn't mean that the virus has been completely killed. I would continue treating for about a week.
